Governor Diri emerges victorious as Labour Party’s candidate loses polling unit in Bayelsa guber

Former governor Douye Diri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defeated Udengs Eradiri, the candidate of the Labour Party (LP), at his own polling unit.

The winner of Unit 05, Ward 10 in the Yenagoa local government area (LGA) is Diri, who is running for reelection.

After everything was said and done, Diri had received 130 votes, whereas Eradiri had only eight. In the same voting place, Timipre Sylva, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, received forty-five votes.

At Yindimie Compound Square, Polling Unit 013, Ward 10, Sagbama LGA, Diri also declared victory with 137 votes. Sylva received fifty-five votes in the same area.

At Amadikurumor Compound Square, Polling Unit 014, Ward 10, it was noted that the PDP had 195 votes, while the APC had 89.

Eradiri did not receive any votes in Unit 013 and only received one vote in Unit 014.
