Governor Aiyedatiwa casts his vote in the Ondo gubernatorial election, expressing confidence in his campaign and stating he is “at an advantage.”
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), has cast his vote in the Ondo governorship election.
Aiyedatiwa voted around 8:50 am at Polling Unit 5, Ugbo Ward, in the Obenla community of Ilaje Local Government Area.
After casting his vote, he called the election peaceful and praised the voter turnout, expressing confidence in winning.
“The governor stated, ‘Considering our efforts over the past 10 months, as I mentioned earlier, the people and voters are clear on their choice.'”
I am confident in my position to win this election due to the efforts I’ve made over the past 10 months since becoming governor. I have engaged with all 18 local governments and visited numerous communities throughout the state.
“In my community, it is peaceful and the turnout is exceptionally encouraging. I hope the same atmosphere prevails at other locations throughout the state. It’s peaceful here,” he mentioned.
He believes that security operatives should be praised for their role in conducting the election.
The governor expressed appreciation for the security agency, police, civil defense, and military operating behind the scenes. “They are strategically deployed to address any potential threats,” he said. He also believes that everyone is conducting themselves well.
We are a peaceful community in Ondo State, which has been recognized as one of the safest and most tranquil states in Nigeria.
