Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has praised security organisations for being proactive in containing the state’s most recent outbreak of violence.
Adeleke also praised the police for apprehending and bringing criminal charges against offenders.
The governor, who was represented by Teslim Igbalaye, Secretary to the State Government, expressed his satisfaction with the capture of several cults involved in recent criminal activity, the tracking and arrest of some criminals in Oyo State, and the arrest of kidnap gangs.
The reports from the field indicated that the police and other security services have been active in reducing crime, according to Adeleke. The fact that suspects are being apprehended and brought before courts makes the government very delighted. The public’s confidence in the government’s ability to safeguard them will grow as a result.
It is also encouraging to note that security personnel are looking for criminals who operate hit-and-run vehicles from bases outside Osun State. In Ekiti, Oyo, and other nearby states, our security forces are looking for such bad guys. We salute the state’s police and other security forces for their valour.
“Governor Adeleke has further ordered the security services to continue their offensive against persons in the underworld. In order to obtain further quick results, we are interacting with the service commanders in accordance with the State Governor’s direction, Adeleke said.
Adeleke emphasised that criminals have no home in Osun State while assuring the populace that his administration is devoted to protecting residents’ lives and property.
“Our administration has no patience with criminals or their inhumane behaviour. We’ll expel them from Osun and protect our citizens throughout daily routines.
He declared, “Our administration will find all crooks and prosecute them.”
The state, which had a reputation for being among the most tranquil in the nation, has seen pockets of violence recently.
A PDP member was killed at Ila-Orangun as a result of the violence, which reached a peak days before the general elections.
