Governor Abiodun Directs Refund of Recruitment Fees

Governor Abiodun has instructed that all recruitment fees be refunded to applicants, upholding fairness in recruitment.

The governor of Ogun, Gov. Dapo Abiodun has instructed the chairman of the Civil Service Commission to reimburse all administrative fees that are presently imposed in connection with the ongoing recruitment process for civil service positions within the state.

On Thursday in Abeokuta, it was announced by Mr Tokunbo Talabi – the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), as stated in a release.

Despite the fact that these administrative fees have been in place for decades and are considered standard, the governor has ordered the civil service commission to return them.

As per the government’s statement, the civil service commission levies these charges on behalf of independent examiners unaffiliated with any party who conduct and oversee Computer Based Tests (CBT).

The government recognizes that the present economic state of the nation was considered along with the primary objective of the recruitment initiative.

According to the government, their objective is to relieve citizens’ distress and stimulate employment in the state. To achieve this goal, they have issued guidelines that require prompt reimbursement of previous fees paid as well as exemption from any future application charges.
