On Tuesday, the government of Zamfara State promised never to talk with bandits or other criminal elements.

This was said by Alhaji Abubakar Nakwada, the State Government’s Secretary, to reporters in Gusau.

He claims that the current administration has no desire to speak with any bandit leader or representative about a peace agreement that has never been successful.

But he reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to fighting the outlaws and their backers until they are vanquished.

He stated that the state administration would carefully engage with security organizations to ensure that the bandits’ doorsteps are reached in the fight against instability.

He said that the administration of Mohammed Bello Matawalle, his predecessor, squandered numerous billions of naira on ineffective projects that had little immediate impact on the general populace’s quality of life.

“There is no proper record to support the notion that Matawalle’s administration spent over N10 billion on purchasing utility cars. Our government would use every effort humanly feasible to reclaim the said vehicles because some of the vehicles were shared by friends, he said.

He stated that the current administration wants to use this platform to inform the state’s good citizens that all land allocations to individuals, groups, or outside parties have been revoked because they were not made in the public interest. He also urged residents to work with the government on its policies and programs.
