In accordance with a court ruling, the Kano State Government has reinstated Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado, the former chairman of the state anti-corruption committee.

Gado was ordered to be returned to his employment and given N5 million as compensation by the Court in a judgment.

The State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, approved Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado’s reinstatement as Chairman of the Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Commission, PCACC, to finish out his five-year term in order to comply with the court’s ruling as soon as possible.

Muhyi was removed from office by the immediately preceding governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, purportedly for attempting to cast doubt on the actions of the governor’s wife, Dr. Hafsat Ganduje.

Before the Anti Corruption Commission Boss was suspended, it was thought that he had excessive power and had directed an inquiry against the deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi 11.

Muhyi was, however, immediately reinstated to his position, according to a statement released by the government.
