Government in Abia will be held responsible by us, NNPP Chairman
Anthony Kelechi Apugo, the recently named interim chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has pledged to offer constructive opposition in the state with the goal of establishing accountability in governance.
After being appointed by the party, Apugo made this statement at the Ojukwu bunker in Umuahia. He also made an appeal to former party members who left the NNPP in the past to join him in finishing the rebuilding process he has begun.
He claimed that the party in Abia State would enter a new era as a result of his appointment and that of Kanu Amogu J., who is currently serving as interim state secretary.
We are working very hard to win future elections, but our main priorities are holding the government responsible, promoting good governance, and protecting the interests of our citizens.

“NNPC has pledged to protect Abians’ rights and interests with unrelenting dedication. We are prepared to revive democratic liberalism and turn the NNPP into the go-to place for every Abi looking for justice, freedom, and equity, the acting NNPP Chairman remarked.
He asserted that the party would offer a forceful and constructive opposition, enabling Africans to obtain the level of governance they really deserve.
The NNPP acting chairman added that systems will be put in place to resolve the grievances of irate members, adding that such tactics would help in membership drive and unified focus. The NNPP acting chairman predicted his party to record fantastic results in future elections.
Apugo praised the former NNPP guber candidate Ukpai Iro Ukpai and other candidates for flying the party’s flag during the most recent general elections in Abia and predicted that Boniface Aniebonam’s aspirations for social justice, freedom, and peace will come to pass.
