Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule praised INEC on Saturday for starting the governorship and house of assembly polls early in the state.
After casting his ballot at the Motor Park 002 Gudi Polling Unit in the state’s Akwanga Local Government Area (LGA), the governor spoke in the presence of his wife, Farida Sule.
Sule was accredited by the election officials and cast her ballot at precisely 10:00 am.
Speaking to reporters immediately after voting, the governor thanked INEC staff for starting the process early.
He also complimented the people for the peaceful behaviour thus far and urged them to cast their votes without fear of intimidation.

Being someone who valued democracy and the will of the people, Sule also pledged to accept the election’s results at its conclusion.
He clarified that even when a presidential candidate in a state lost an election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) respected the results.
Because the decision is up to the people and not us, he said, “We will abide by any outcome that comes forth.
In order to provide security and prevent vote buying, security services such as the Nigeria Police, the Nigeria Immigration Service, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps were present at the polling places.
