Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu has been selected by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership to head its reconciliation committee.
Early on Monday morning, a communiqué from the South South zonal meeting that took place in Calabar on Sunday revealed his selection.
“We have decided to establish a reconciliation committee in the South-South region,” it said. Cross River State Governor HE Sen. Bassey Otu will be in charge of this.

They also decided to work together, close any gaps in understanding, and pursue the shared objective of enhancing the party’s standing and power in the area.
Their steadfast support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s policies and initiatives to promote good governance, economic reforms, national security, and infrastructure development was reiterated in the communiqué.
To demonstrate their will to win further states, they decided to deploy all party resources on capturing Edo State in the gubernatorial contest.
