Gov Mohammed hints at inviting Tinubu as a campaign director for 2027 amidst current hardship. Learn more about this potential political move.

Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi State, has expressed concern that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies could potentially harm his chances for reelection in 2027 due to their perceived negative impact on the masses.

The governor stated that the APC administration led by Tinubu was causing suffering among the populace with their policies.

Previously, the governor had conveyed his dissatisfaction with President Tinubu’s recent address to the nation amidst the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations.

Prior to the address, there was no consultation made by the governor with state governors.

According to him, the president’s speech fails to accurately depict the current situation and he also noted a significant disconnect between those in government power and ordinary citizens within the nation.

During the flag-off of the state PDP local government election campaign on Wednesday at Alhaji Rilwanu Adamu Suleiman Square, Government House, the governor addressed President Tinubu and urged him to reconsider his policies as they have proven ineffective.

Mohammed, who is also the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, urged President Tinubu to reconsider his policy as it will have a negative impact on everyone regardless of their political affiliation.

“I intend to offer him the role of our campaign director in 2027 if he persists with this behavior. The PDP will have an overwhelming advantage and emerge victorious, thanks to his self-inflicted harm.”

Furthermore, he expressed that “As the opposing party, we acknowledge the necessity for leadership. We have exercised restraint to prevent exacerbating political tensions.”

It is important that the Federal Government ceases its actions which are inciting unrest. We urge this with all due respect and humility.

Other governors have also listened to the concerns of youth and protesters, as has the PDP with its own governor’s support.

The Federal Government must put an end to their excuses and take responsibility. We value the trust of the public, which is why we are making a concerted effort by striving for good governance.
