Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara sends a strong message to detractors, affirming his resolve to overcome challenges and fulfill his administration’s mandate.

The political turmoil in Rivers State appears to persist into 2024, with Governor Siminalayi Fubara pledging that all schemes orchestrated by his adversaries will inevitably fail.

It has been reported that since late 2023, Fubara and his former political mentor, Nyesom Wike, have been locked in a confrontation over control of the state’s political framework.

During the 2025 crossover church service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Opobo Town, located in the Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, Fubara declared that every scheme of their adversaries would persistently fail.

During the event, Governor Fubara initiated a spirited song, and the audience enthusiastically joined in: “At the mention of your name, God, every knee shall bow. At the mention of your name, every tongue confesses. That you are Lord; you are King; you are King of kings.”

The governor stated that the lyrics of the song were not only meant to console but also served as an encouragement for people to strengthen their faith in God.

He remarked that only God can guide the journey to greater success in the New Year.

He stated, “The Red Biro is still full and remains here with me. Every enemy’s plan will keep failing,” he added.
