After being removed from the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) list, Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri made fun of Timipre Sylva, the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) candidate for governor in the election scheduled for November 11.
Diri claimed that because of INEC’s action, Sylva would continue to have restless nights.
On Friday, he gave a speech in the Igbedi community in the Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the state.

Based on the initial updated INEC list, Diri maintained that Sylva was still ineligible.
He pleaded with Bayelsa State residents not to cast their ballots for a party that isn’t on the ballot.
“Those whose names have been delisted by INEC Amendment Number One can no longer sleep,” stated Diri. They will still experience restless evenings.
“In our second term, the connection between Igbedi and Kaiama will be a crucial route for Bayelsa residents, as well as those in Delta State, and for the usage of our airport. We will start working on the project as soon as we get a new job.
