The Hisbah Commission and the Yobe State Information Technology Development Agency (YITDA) were established by two bills that Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni signed into law on Friday.

Director-General of Press and Media Affairs Mamman Mohammed informed the Governor of the information in a statement.

The Hisbah Commission statute, according to the declaration, is intended to keep an eye on how Shariah is applied and enforced while also preventing other social vices in the state.

Similar to this, the Yobe State Information Technology Development Agency statute requires coordination and collaboration with institutions for youth mentoring and training in the state’s information technology sector.

On Friday, October 6, 2023, the two laws that were passed by the Yobe State House of Assembly and approved by Governor Buni go into force right away.
