The governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has promised to keep dancing even though he has been criticised.
He admitted that his early ambition was to become a performer.
Governor Adeleke claimed in an interview with News Central Africa that his father’s insistence that he pursue an academic profession prevented him from realising his desire.
“Music makes me feel so nice,” he remarked. I cherish music. I love to dance. In actuality, I was meant to work in the entertainment industry. When we were young, our father had the opinion that you had to attend college and become a doctor or barrister.
He said that while he was in school in the United States, he took part in dance competitions and won cash prizes.

“I still have it [dancing] in me,” Adeleke declared. I don’t think it should cease because I’m a governor or because I used to be a senator. Everyone would be arrogant when we got together.
He said that there is time for everything, including dancing, and cautioned his detractors against trying to take control of his life.
But he made it clear that dancing would not prevent him from carrying out his governorship duties.
Adeleke, affectionately known as “the dancing governor,” is the uncle of famed singer Davido and the father of well-known Nigerian artists B-Red and Shina Rambo.
