Gov Adeleke has chosen Justice Olayinka David to serve as the acting CJ
After the House of Assembly approved the resolution, Governor Ademola Adeleke named Justice Olayinka David Afolabi as the interim Chief Judge of Osun state. This appointment took effect immediately.
His spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, revealed this in an Osogbo statement.
The announcement said that after the Osun State House of Assembly approved a motion, Justice Afolabi was appointed as Acting Chief Justice effective immediately.
“After the House of Assembly approved the resolution, Governor Ademola Adeleke named Justice Olayinka David Afolabi as the Acting Chief Judge of Osun State with immediate effect.”

The removal of Justice Ojo from her position as Chief Justice follows rumours in various quarters that the state administration intended to remove her.
Several civil society organisations alerted the state administration to the rumours on Wednesday.
But in response, the state administration refuted the rumours through Kolapo Alimi, Commissioner of Information and Enlightenment.
Furthermore, the state administration emphasised that no state official had authority over state legislation.
