The third quarter (2023) budget performance report (July–September) is included in this document. According to the report available on the state website, it is created on a quarterly basis and published within four weeks, or 28 days, following the conclusion of each quarter.
“When preparing the budget for Fiscal Year 2023, the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget and Development created a thorough Revenue and Expenditure Framework. As approved by the Osun State House of Assembly, the FY 2023 budget will be implemented starting on January 1st, 2023, and ending on December 31st, 2023.
The State House of Assembly adopted the revised budget on August 15, 2023, and Governor His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, signed it into law. A new budget is required to enable the State Government to undertake initiatives that will boost the State’s economy.
“Before posting online, the Budget Implementation Committee evaluates the budget performance on a quarterly basis. Nonetheless, consistent work is needed on the part of the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget, and Development to guarantee enhancements in the State’s Public Financial and Resource Management operations.
The approved budget appropriation for 2023 (the original budget); the revised budget for 2023 against each organisational unit for the core economic classification of expenditures (capital, personnel, overheads, and others); the actual expenditures for the third quarter (Q3) that are attributable to each Ministry, Department, and Agency (MDA); the total expenditures for the year thus far; and the balances against each of the revenue and expenditure appropriations are all included in this report.
“With regard to the 2023 revised estimates, the Budget performance for Quarter Three (Q3) reflects the actual inflow and outflow of resources in the State as of the end of 2023 Third Quarter.”
