The Senate has elected Senator Godswill Akpabio as its new president.
He easily defeated Senator Abdul’aziz Yari on Tuesday to become the new Senate President.
After defeating Senator Yari, who received 46 votes, the former governor of Akwa Ibom was re-elected as president of the 10th Senate.
