Get Lost If You’re Tired of Supporting Me!” – Speed Darlington Speaks After Cutting Ties with Lawyer
Controversial rapper Speed Darlington fires back at critics, telling them to leave if they’re tired of supporting him after ending ties with his lawyer.
Singer Speed Darlington has told those who are weary of supporting him to move on.
A few hours after parting ways with his lawyer, Stanley Alieke, the singer made this statement.
Reports indicate that Alieke recently used his Instagram story to announce the separation of his firm, Law Capitol, from the controversial musician.
The split occurred a week after the singer was released from an extended detention by Nigerian police over allegations of cyberstalking his colleague, Burna Boy.
In a viral video posted on his Instagram page, the singer responded to those advising him to give up his battle with Burna by telling them they could stop supporting if they’re exhausted.
I’m heading to the studio for more music creation. My life serves as my content, and I won’t let anyone dictate what I share. If you’re weary of supporting me, feel free to move on. May God guide me along this journey.
“Listen, how many of you actually spend your own money? I use my own funds, so please let me do as I wish and keep your advice to yourself. I’ve been through it all before; the fear just isn’t the same for me.”
Criticizing Burna, he captioned the video: “Constantly singing about police brutality in Nigeria, yet he hires police to detain me longer. And that’s all you can say? *Leave him and move on.*”
recalled that the singer was arrested twice in October and November 2024 after making fun of Burna Boy’s relationship with the controversial American rapper, Diddy. He credited Burna’s Grammy award win in 2021 to this alleged connection with Diddy.
In October 2024, Darlington dropped the diss track “Baby Oil,” targeting Burna Boy and Diddy. The song quickly gained popularity on Spotify Nigeria.
Since his release from Kuje prison after a two-month stint, Darlington has been subtly incorporating his track “Baby Oil” into all of his content.
After being released from detention, Darlington spoke to his fans and said he had “taken the time to recharge and come back stronger than ever!”
