Last week, Tinubu announced the appointments of Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, a former deputy governor of Jigawa State, as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Gbajabiamila as his Chief of Staff.
The 60-year-old gave thanks in a statement shortly after the President made Gbajabiamila’s appointment official, putting an end to weeks of rumors.
“After serving in the Nigerian Parliament for the past 20 years and being elected to the National Assembly for a sixth term, I will assist Mr. President in completing the enormous task that lies ahead of him for the stability and advancement of the federal republic of Nigeria.
“I shall give my best when I take office on June 14, 2023, as reflected in Mr. President’s official letter,” he declared.
Gbajabiamila’s primary responsibility as chief of staff is to oversee the movement of people and information while also providing the president with advice on a variety of topics.
