Gasperini acknowledged that he owes the Nigeria international and Koopmeiners a great deal, but expressed disappointment with the timing of the transfer saga.
Koopmeiners and Lookman have been truly genuine with me, and I am deeply indebted to them. It’s unfortunate that this issue has emerged right before the season begins,” lamented Gasperini in an interview with DANZ.
