National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has spoken on how one of the newly appointed Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN), Prof. Abubakar Kana, helped the party avoid a N1.5 billion debt burden by lifting a garnishment order.

Kana, who serves as the APC’s national legal adviser, was among 87 lawyers who were awarded the title of SAN on Monday. At a reception in his honour on Thursday, he said Kana’s strategic advice and exceptional skills as a lawyer protected the party’s interests and ensured victory in a key legal case.

He highlighted Kana’s swift intervention and thanked him for saving the party from a significant financial burden. He also commended him for his role in negotiating the settlement of a N92 million judgment against the APC.

Mr. Ganduje, through his deputy, Mr. Ali Bukar Dalori, also commended Mr. Abdul Adamu Fagge, also a SAN holder, for his exceptional legal expertise and commitment to his field of expertise, especially in Kano State.
