Governor Abdullahi Ganduje clarifies his stance, distancing himself from circulating 2027 presidential campaign posters.

Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has dismissed rumors on social media alleging that he and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma are planning to run for presidency in 2027.

On Sunday, Edwin Olofu, the Chief Press Secretary to the National Chairman of APC released a statement disapproving and dismissing posters as untrue and defamatory. He attributed their origin to individuals who seek to cause trouble deliberately.

According to Olofu, the creators of the posters could have links with factions within Kwankwassiyya movement whose intention is to create conflict between Ganduje and President Bola Tinubu.

“We want to make it clear that the poster being shared on social media, which claims that Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje – National Chairman of APC- will be contesting for presidency in 2027 with Governor Uzodimma is completely untrue. It’s a malicious effort aimed at spreading false information.”

The APC states with conviction that the motives behind these actions are aimed at creating friction between Dr. Ganduje and President Tinubu. However, it is important to note that Dr. Ganduje unwaveringly stands by President Tinubu’s leadership and zealous about promoting his vision for Nigeria’s advancement and solidarity.

It is urged that the public disregard this misleading information and abstain from distributing unverified content.
