Last week, the Spanish team presented a £33m offer to The Blues. However, there were major doubts about whether the English player was willing to relocate and accept this proposal.

Gallagher, who is 24 years old, communicated to Atletico officials on Sunday night that he has agreed and content with the transfer.

The player representing England is anticipated to travel for a medical assessment and finalize the signing of his agreement, formally concluding his 18-year tenure with Stamford Bridge.

Gallagher considered Chelsea’s two-year offer with a potential for extension unappealing due to the contract duration and subpar position within the squad.
