NNPP leader Buba Galadima has refuted rumors that Rabiu Kwankwaso, the party’s presidential candidate in the most recent election, is defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Galadima claimed Kwankwaso hadn’t yet told the NNPP he was switching to the APC.
The NNPP leader, however, stated in an interview with Channels Television that Kwankwaso was prepared to collaborate with President Bola Tinubu.
“Kwankwaso has not told anyone he is joining the APC; people are just talking, but what we have before is winner take all,” Galadima claims. A unity government is not a bad idea, if Tinubu is advocating for one.
Since Tinubu’s victory in the presidential election in February, Kwankwaso has been spotted around the area.
There are rumors that Tinubu may nominate Kwankwaso to a political position.
