Nollywood actress Funke Akindele alerts the public about a scammer impersonating her to solicit funds, urging fans and the public to be cautious and avoid falling victim.

Funke Akindele, a renowned Nollywood actress, has publicly exposed Prosper for falsely using her identity to request funds.

Sharing a screenshot featuring the imposter using her name and image to dupe gullible individuals into sending money, she raised awareness of the scam.

One of the shared WhatsApp conversations reveals that the fraudster requested a loan of N200,000 from his target with a pledge to return it on the next day.

Funke cautioned her followers to stay alert for such frauds and added, “Please be careful!!! I did not send this message!! The perpetrator will fail in their attempts! Scammer!”

In addition, she cautioned the general population against being duped by deceitful schemes.
