In an abandoned well at Jokom hamlet in Mangu town of Mangu local government area (LGA) of Plateau state, the body of Umar Ibrahim, a Fulani chieftain who had gone missing, was found.
Reports state that the leader vanished on Wednesday.
The deceased was the Ciroma from the Kumbun district of Mangu LGA.

The incident was confirmed by Captain Oya James, the spokesman for Operation Safe Haven, a security unit entrusted with upholding peace in the state.
The dead, according to the Gan Allah Fulani Development Association (GAFDAN), vanished on Wednesday after leaving the hospital to pick up food for his ailing wife, who had been admitted.
The group’s state head, Garba Abdullahi, claims that “He visited his wife at the sickbay in Mangu.” Wednesday night, around six o’clock, he went to purchase her some supper but was unable to come back. The body was discovered in an abandoned well close to the hospital after four days of searching. The soldiers from Operation Safe Haven, who have been preserving order in the area, were found with the corpse.
“All of our members are urged to maintain composure and never enact laws on their own.” We ought to keep up with the law. The security services are working hard. The chairman declared, “We are urging the security to find and apprehend the individuals responsible for the heinous deed.”
