PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar’s special adviser on public communication, Phrank Shaibu, has accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of covertly restoring gasoline subsidies.

He asserted that the significant difference in price between petrol, kerosene, and diesel was proof of this.

“Nigerians should not be deceived by the antics of this government,” Shaibu said in a statement on Tuesday. They have covertly reinstated fuel subsidies. Due to this, the price of fuel has stayed constant while that of cooking gas, diesel and kerosene have all increased.

How is it that the cost of crude oil and foreign exchange may rise while the cost of petrol stays the same? Is it feasible for the price of fried rice, which includes additives like green pepper, green peas, and salt, to increase while the price of rice stays the same? It is illogical!

Foreign investors have decided not to take the Tinubu administration seriously because they are aware of the lies they are telling.

Recall that during his inauguration on May 29, Tinubu declared an end to the gasoline subsidy system. The withdrawal of the subsidy had increased the cost of petrol at the pump nationwide.
