The rationale behind the move, they claimed, was respect for President Bola Tinubu, who on Monday called a meeting for reconciliation between the parties at odds.
The verdict was read aloud to the 26 lawmakers who supported former governor Nyesom Wike on Wednesday morning at the House of Assembly Complex.
President Tinubu mediated a peace agreement between Fubara and Wike on Monday, according to Obasanjo News24.
A power struggle between the governor and Wike, who serves as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, is said to be the cause of the unrest in the state.
