Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State stated that the ongoing political tension in the state stems from competing interests over its resources.
On Sunday, Governor Fubara delivered a speech at the celebration of two significant events: the 18th anniversary of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) and the 51st birthday of its General Overseer, His Royal Majesty Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere. The event took place in Port Harcourt.
He assured the congregation that his government is dedicated to utilizing the state’s resources prudently for the benefit of all citizens.
Fubara also encouraged them to keep praying for peace and maintaining focus in governance.
Fubara stated, “The crisis stems from the desire to control Rivers State’s resources.”
“The resources of Rivers State are rightfully yours, and we will ensure they are used wisely to benefit the state.”
Here’s a rewritten version: “All we ask of you is one thing: please keep us in your prayers. Let’s stay focused, knowing that challenges may arise to distract those involved in governance.”
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers, as the well-being of the people here is our top priority. I am confident that with your support, we will stay focused and successfully fulfill our governance goals for Rivers State.
Additionally, he contributed N200 million to the church to aid its ongoing infrastructure development projects.
