Fubara gains loyalty of Rivers Rep member and PDP chieftains

The representative for Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Boniface Emerengwa, has publicly declared his unwavering support for the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara, amidst the ongoing political turmoil within the state.

A statement released by Fubara’s chief press secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, confirmed that the governor warmly welcomed the federal legislator at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Monday evening, showcasing a united front in the face of challenges.

Emerengwa, a native of Ikwerre local government area, emphasized his decision to stand by Fubara, highlighting the governor’s dual role as the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the state itself, underscoring the importance of unity and cooperation for progress.

Expressing his commitment, Emerengwa vowed to rally his numerous supporters within his constituency to align with the governor’s vision for peace and development in the state, recognizing the mandate given to Fubara by the people of Rivers.

Reflecting on Fubara’s electoral triumph and subsequent legal victories, Emerengwa praised the governor’s leadership and urged others to recognize the positive impact of Fubara’s administration on the state, emphasizing the need for collective support in fostering growth and stability.

In a show of solidarity, Emerengwa was joined by three other House of Representatives members, namely Awaji-Inombek Abiante, Boma Goodhead, and Anderson Allison Igbiks, as they visited the Government House to demonstrate their unified stance in advancing the common goals of peace and progress for Rivers State.
