Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers state has stated that his critics are experiencing high blood pressure and sleepless nights due to the support he is receiving from former Governor Peter Odili.
Odili, who governed the state from 1999 to 2007, has openly aligned himself with Fubara’s camp since the political crisis in the state began.
Recently, Odili publicly declared Fubara as the political leader of Rivers, which solidified his position in the ongoing feud between Fubara and Chief Nyesom Wike, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Fubara expressed his satisfaction with Odili’s decision to stand with his camp, noting that it has caused unease among his opponents.
The governor emphasized the importance of standing on the right side, even if it means standing alone, and praised Odili for his integrity and character.
Fubara made these remarks while addressing the people at Dr. Odili’s country home in Ndoni Town, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, following the inauguration of a Comprehensive Primary Health Centre in the community.
According to Fubara’s Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, the governor unapologetically asserted that those who truly possess integrity and character are firmly supporting his administration.
