Rivers State citizens were forewarned by Governor Sim Fubara on Friday not to demarket their state.
Demarketing the state, according to Fubara, will scare away investors, thus inhabitants will be held responsible.
He was speaking to a group of Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) leaders and employees who had come to the Government House in Port Harcourt as part of a solidarity walk.
Fubara pledged that the social compact between his government and the people of Rivers would continue to be an unbroken link that guides governance, represented by Dr. George Nwaeke, Head of the Rivers State Civil Service.
“We will have ourselves to blame if we band together to demarket our state,” he declared. Remember that we are hurting our own future when we demarket Port Harcourt and Rivers State and all the wonderful individuals who want to come here and invest their money start to flee.
