Governor Fubara speaks out on the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, attributing the conflict to divine will and emphasizing that his actions should not be seen as weakness. Discover his perspective on the tensions with Wike.
On Sunday, Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State stated that the crisis in the state was permitted by God to achieve ‘political freedom’.
Fubara stated that instead of weakening, he is gaining strength each day.
He delivered a speech at a thanksgiving service held to honor the appointment of His Royal Majesty, Eze Chike Worlu Wodo, as the Chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council. This event took place at Shepard’s Hill Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
The governor stated that he and his team have not been overwhelmed thanks to the involvement of God.

He mentioned, “I believe that what you consider trouble is not troublesome to me. I view it as God’s plan for a new direction for our State.”
From the very beginning, he has elevated us, which is why we’re growing stronger and more courageous each day instead of becoming weaker.
Our aim is to complete our work and leave behind a legacy of leading with reverence for God. Though we may not achieve perfection in all things, ultimately, there should be a compelling reason for the angels to protect us from being claimed by evil.
This is happening as Fubara faces a conflict with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Fubara and Wike have been clashing over the state’s political framework.
