From the wreckage of the Banana Island building, one corpse was found

One body has been found in the debris of the building that collapsed on 1st Avenue, Banana Island, in the Ikoyi neighbourhood of Lagos.

Following the search and recovery efforts of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency staff, the body was located (LASEMA).

On Wednesday night, the building that was being built collapsed, trapping some of the workers beneath the debris.

According to Obasanjonews24, the Lagos government announced a complete halt to all construction projects on the well-known island following the incident.
