This city is located approximately two-and-a-half hours away from Casablanca, which is considered Morocco’s industrial and economic capital.
Accompanying the young players are Coach Patrick Bassey, along with his assistants Hussein Lawal and Augustine Iyamu.
These coaches are eager to guide and nurture the talents of the 21 future stars as they take their first steps in international football.
Leading the delegation is former Nigeria winger and captain, Dr. Felix Owolabi, MON.
The first match between the two countries is scheduled to take place tonight in Kenitra, starting at 10pm local time in Morocco (11pm in Nigeria). Interestingly, this match will be played just hours after the Super Eagles and the Black Stars conclude their potentially explosive encounter at the Grand Stade de Marrakech.
The tour by the Future Eagles has been organized by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as part of the Ibrahim Gusau-led administration’s vision to develop football from the grassroots level. This initiative aims to actively provide opportunities for young talents to fulfill their potential and achieve their dreams in the sport.
