Kano State government files fresh charges against Ganduje. Explore the new allegations and their implications for the former governor.
On Tuesday, the Kano State Government took legal action against former governor Abdullahi Ganduje by filing a new charge against him.
The charge sheet, with case No. K/143c/24, alleges that Ganduje and former Commissioner for Justice, Musa Lawan, were involved in Criminal Conspiracy and misappropriation, which are in violation of Section 308 and punishable under Section 309 of the Penal Code (as amended) CAP 105, Vol. 2, the Laws of Kano State of Nigeria.

According to the state government, the offences are contrary punishable under Section 97 and Section 315. Additionally, Ganduje and Lawan are accused of abuse of office, as stated in the charge sheet.
The state government also mentioned its intention to present four witnesses in relation to the case, although no specific date has been set for the arraignment of the accused individuals.
