After years of silence following the devastating fire, the iconic bells of Notre-Dame Cathedral will ring tonight, marking a milestone in its restoration, the French President confirms.

In a speech at the reopening ceremony of Notre Dame Cathedral, President Macron declared that “the bells of Notre Dame are ringing again.”

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump shook hands with the Prince of Wales upon their arrival at the ceremony.

Notre-Dame is officially reopening over five years after it sustained significant damage in a fire.

We got our first look inside the cathedral since its refurbishment was completed when French President Emmanuel Macron toured the site last week.

The French president remarked that the bells of Notre-Dame have been a part of our history.

He wraps up his speech with the words, “Long live Notre-Dame and long live the French Republic.”

We’ve just witnessed Notre-Dame illuminated with expressions of gratitude in various languages.

A standing ovation was given to the firefighters in Paris.

The Prince of Wales welcomed US President-elect Donald Trump during the ceremony at Notre Dame.

Trump patted William on the shoulder, and then they shook hands and exchanged a few words.
