Francis Ngannou’s unexpected victory over Tyson Fury was denied

In a non-title fight in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou was stopped from pulling off an unexpected victory against WBC boxing champion Tyson Fury.
There was a heated split decision that declared Fury the winner.
The British boxer was knocked down in the third round, yet he still won 96-93 and 95-94 on two judges’ scores.
For Ngannou, the other judge scored 95 to 94.
While Ngannou was competing as a professional for the first time, Fury had never lost in his professional career.
Ngannou dominated the majority of the ten rounds, but Fury emerged victorious in a close and contentious split decision.
