Four unruly teenagers are detained by the police after attacks in Niger
Four teenagers have been detained by the police in Niger State in connection with the unrest that shook the Minna city and its surroundings and led to the wanton damage of property and the injury of numerous locals.
Restless adolescents terrorised the people of Barkin Sale, Kpakungu, Stadium Road, Limawa, and Mobile Roundabout throughout the course of the previous four days. Many individuals were hurt, wounded, harassed, and frightened throughout the attacks. Likewise, buildings were destroyed.
The Niger State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the event and stated that those detained were chosen from places on Morris and Stadium Road in connection with the attacks.

Also, he mentioned how police officers had been sent to trouble areas in an effort to stop the problem.
Without any intervention from the proper security personnel, the unruly young groups—who were purported political thugs—launched their well-planned attacks on the locals.
The youngsters barricaded key streets and roads while brandishing various hazardous weapons, impeding both pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
Malam Ibrahim Abdullahi, a Minna resident, lamented the city’s rising number of attacks by rowdy teenagers, saying: “We are asking on the government and security forces, notably the Nigerian Police, to do the necessary before this situation gets out of hand. In order to avoid legal repercussions, parents must take responsibility for raising their wards or children [correctly].
Mohammed Tanko, a different local, stated: “These teenagers have been upsetting the serenity of Minna locals. They caused severe injuries, damaged valuables, and plundered them during the most recent raids. We are urging the government to respond to this issue and stop the trend before it spirals out of hand.
