Four of the former governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim,’s police officers were killed when escaping militants attacked his vehicle on Monday.

Ohakim’s convoy was ambushed on Monday night at Oriagu in the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area. This was a terrible thing to happen.

After Ohakim had gotten away, his backup vehicle was set up as a trap and four police officers were killed.

According to information from our source, he was coming home from a visit with two of his kids.

A source close to the former governor said that the former governor was able to get away because of how quick the driver was.

The insider also said that the former governor was the main target, but that his driver was smart enough to beat them when they tried to block him with their cars.

They destroyed his backup automobile by blocking it because their primary target had fled. Four other officers were also burned along with him.

Obasanjonews24 learned that a reinforcement had taken him home from the state capital of Owerri.
