Four people in Jigawa sentenced to life in prison for rape of teenager

A group of four individuals in Jigawa State have been handed life imprisonment by the State High Court for the rape of a 14-year-old girl in Kurmi quarters, Gwaram Local Government Area.

The convicted individuals, Sale Ibrahim (40), Amadu Saleh (46), Sale Ali (40), and Danmami Yusuf (37), were charged and found guilty of rape under specific sections of the VAPP Laws of Jigawa State.

The prosecution built a strong case by presenting four witnesses, including a medical report, and submitting two exhibits as evidence.

Following a thorough review of the evidence presented by both sides, the court determined that the prosecution had successfully proven the case against the accused beyond a reasonable doubt.

This ruling follows a similar recent case where the State High Court sentenced Aminu Ali, 25, to life imprisonment for the crimes of rape and sodomy.
