Four days after being inaugurated, a newly elected Kaduna Assembly member dies

Just four days after he and the other members of the Assembly were sworn in, the representative for the Chikun constituency passed away on Saturday.

The Honorable Garba Madami, a member of the 10th Kaduna State House of Assembly, has passed away.
Just four days after he and the other members of the Assembly were sworn in, the representative for the Chikun constituency passed away on Saturday.

The late politician served as commissioner of planning and budget and as chairman of the Chikun Local Government Area once. Additionally, he was the late Governor of Kaduna State, Patrick Yakowa,’s political adviser.

Senator Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna State, has expressed astonishment over Madami’s passing.

The Governor expressed his condolences to the lawmaker’s immediate family and the residents of the Chikun Constituency in a statement issued by his chief press secretary, Mohammed Shehu, stressing that the legislator was well-known for encouraging peaceful coexistence and was well-regarded.

Governor Sani prayed to God to comfort Madami’s family, friends, colleagues, and people, as well as grant her soul eternal rest.
