Agents from the Adamawa State Police Command and a few local hunters killed two people who were thought to have taken people hostage. They also freed four people who had been taken.

The suspects were shot and murdered by the group of police officers and vigilante hunters on Moroma Hill in the Song Local Government Area’s Mboi area.

Obasanjonews24 found out Thursday night that the crew saved four LGA residents during the operation. They were Musa Adamu, 25, Adam Musa, 40, Muhammed Jabbi, 75, and Jauro Ibrahim, 60.

Suleiman Nguroje, the police public relations officer, issued a statement on behalf of the command stating that the operation was completed early on December 8 (Thursday).

The agents found cellphones, chains, padlocks, blankets, kitchen tools, energy and soft drinks, and charms.

Nguroje also said that the success of the operation was due to a plan made by the Command to stop crimes like kidnapping, armed robbery, cattle rustling, and illegal possession of guns.

He explained that the suspects attacked the police officers and hunters in a gunfight when they saw them, which resulted in the deaths of two of them and the wounding of others.

Sikiru Akande, the Commissioner of Police, gave DPO Song, his troops, and the hunters a long list of thanks for cutting off the criminal network.
