Efe Sodje, a former Super Eagles defender, has organised support for Finidi George, the team’s new manager.
Recently, Finidi was named captain of the three-time African winners.
The 53-year-old has previously assisted Jose Peseiro, the team’s former handler.
According to Sodje, Finidi’s success in her position will depend on the backing of all Nigerians.

Each manager has a group of players they can trust. Since he’s new to the position, I’m sure the technical side of the NFF helped him make some selections. Finidi, the former centre back for Huddersfield Town, told Brila FM, “knows the players he wants to work with, though, having worked with Peseiro.”
“We need to encourage him as fans and former players because we all want to get to the World Cup. The 51-year-old continued, “I wish him good luck and hope for the correct outcomes. We should pray and be optimistic about his choices, hoping he achieves the results needed to lead us to the World Cup.
