The ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC, was congratulated by former President Muhammadu Buhari on winning the recent Kogi State and Imo state gubernatorial elections.
According to OBASANJO NEWS24, the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, has proclaimed APC candidate Governor Hope Uzodinma the victor of the Imo governorship race.
In a same vein, Usman Ododo of the ruling party won Kogi State’s governorship election on Saturday.

Reacting, Buhari commended the state people for reiterating their support for the ruling party in a statement released on Monday by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu.
“Former President Muhammadu Buhari congratulates the All Progressives Congress @OfficialAPCNg,” the statement says.
on winning the Imo and Kogi state governorship elections, and expressed gratitude to the populace of both states for reiterating their support for the most well-known political party in the country.
“The former President expresses special gratitude to the leaders of the party and the labour force for their tireless efforts in securing the reappointment of Senator Hope Uzodimma @Hope_Uzodimma1 for a second term in Imo State and Alhaji Usman Ododo @OfficialOAU as the new Kogi State governor.”
In addition, the outgoing president bid the recently elected governors “best for their tenure.”
