Olu Agunloye, a former minister of power and steel, was placed under detention in Kuje Correctional Service on Wednesday by an Abuja Federal High Court ruling.
Agunloye was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission with fraud related to the Mambilla Power Project.

Wednesday saw the appearance of Agunloye before the Federal High Court in Abuja, where he entered a not guilty plea to the accusations made against him.
Nonetheless, the judge directed that the troubled former minister be placed on remand until his release.
