Former Liverpool Midfielder Reveals Man Utd Player Urged Managerial Replacement for Ten Hag
Jason McAteer, a former Liverpool midfielder, recently shared that a Manchester United player confided in him about the potential of Gareth Southgate taking over from Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford in the near future.
McAteer did not disclose the identity of the player but expressed his belief that Ten Hag’s tenure at the club is coming to an end.
Following Man United’s 1-0 loss to Arsenal, questions loom over Ten Hag’s future with the team, especially with the possibility of missing out on European football next season.

McAteer mentioned a conversation he had with a Man United player who hinted at the club’s interest in Southgate post the Euro 2024 campaign.
Despite not revealing the player’s identity, McAteer emphasized that the player did not seem convinced about Ten Hag’s continuity at the club and suggested that a change might be imminent.
