Ex-Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp reveals the motivation behind his decision to accept a new managerial role, offering insights into his career move and future ambitions in football.
Former Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has announced his new position with RedBull.
Reports suggest that Klopp will be making his return to football, but not in a managerial role.
Klopp is scheduled to assume the role of Head of Global Soccer at RedBull starting January 1, 2025.
The German went on Instagram and uploaded a video to clarify his decision.
He announced, “Hello everyone. Some of you may have already heard the news; for others, this might be new information: starting January 1st, 2025, I will assume the role of Head of Global Soccer at RedBull.”
Klopp mentioned that RedBull provides an ideal platform for him to resume work, and he expressed a desire to share his experience.
Throughout my career, I battled for promotions, struggled against relegation, and competed fiercely for titles and trophies.
There were times we failed and times we succeeded, and while managing these ups and downs isn’t easy, it is possible.
“I want to start learning again because when you’re working and have matches every three days, there’s hardly any time for it. Now I finally have the opportunity.”
“I want to experience and understand what benefits football, contributing to its development a bit. I’m eagerly anticipating it all, but for now, I’m returning to my holiday.”
