Hon. Sylvester Ogbaga, a former member of the House of Representatives, has made the decision to resign from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Serving as the representative for the Abakiliki/lzzi federal constituency of Ebonyi State from 1999 to 2023, Ogbaga conveyed his resignation through a letter dated April 24, 2024.
The letter was addressed to the Chairman of the PDP Anmegu Enyigba ward and was also copied to the Local Government Area (LGA) and state chairmen of the party.
In his resignation letter, Ogbaga expressed his reasons for leaving the party. After carefully evaluating and considering the current political state of the PDP, he felt it necessary to take a leave from the party.
Ogbaga highlighted his long-standing membership in the PDP since 1998 and his significant contributions to the party’s development through sacrifices and support.

Ogbaga emphasized that his decision to resign was a personal one, made with a sense of responsibility.
He expressed gratitude towards the Chairman for their unique leadership style and support. In conclusion, Ogbaga extended his well wishes to his former party, the PDP, for their future endeavors.
