Hon. Amina Audu, the suspended chairman of Benue State’s Okpokwu Local Government Area, was set free after being kidnapped by armed herdsmen.
On Monday, while travelling from Makurdi to N’aka, Audu was kidnapped by gunmen and carried into the bush on the Makurdi-N’aka route.

She was released on Thursday night in excellent health along with others, and OBASANJO NEWS24 has since learned that she has reconnected with her family.
It was unsuccessful to get Catherine Anene, the spokesperson for the Benue State Police Command, to confirm her release.
